Abstract
Abstract Burnout is an emotional and physiological depleting situation that is notably observed in the jobs which require personal direct communication with humans and in those who cannot overcome the stress as a natural feature of the occupation. The teaching occupation is a hard matter for those teachers who spend a lot with the students. With this point, my aim is the investigation of the reasons behind this burnout in various level of institution. 158 teachers took part in the research. In the study an information form about the teachers\' socio-demographic conditions and their vocational knowledge and Maslach Burnout Inventory form has been used. In the analysis of the sub-problems of the researches, variance analysis and t-test was used. According to the outcomes in the participants, difference according to the gender has not been at a remarkable level. An important level has been realized in the marital status of the teachers, period of work, the grade they teach, class loads, the appropriateness of the school to the teacher\'s expectation and the wish to last their job and he sub-measurements of burnout. Öz Tükenmişlik özellikle, insanlarla birebir iletişim gerektiren meslek gruplarında çalışanlarda görülen, mesleğin doğası gereği yaşanan stresle başa çıkamama sonucunda gözlenen fizyolojik ve duygusal alanlarda hissedilen bir tükenme durumdur. Tükenmişlik, insanlarla çalışan meslek grupları için daha büyük bir tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle öğretmenlik mesleği de aynı tehlike altındadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, çeşitli eğitim kademelerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişliğine etki eden faktörleri araştırmaktır. Araştırmaya 158 öğretmen katılmıştır. Çalışmada öğretmenlerin sosyo-demografik durumlarını ve mesleki bilgilerini içeren bir bilgi formu ile Maslach Tükenmişlik Envanteri- Öğretmen Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın alt boyutlarının çözümlenmesinde varyans analizi ve t-testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre katılanların cinsiyetlerine göre tükenmişlik puanları arasındaki fark önemli bulunmamıştır. Öğretmenlerin medeni durumu, çalışma yılı, görev yaptıkları eğitim kademesi, ders yükleri, çalıştıkları okulun beklentilerine uygun olması ve mesleklerini sevdikleri için sürdürme ile tükenmişlik alt ölçümleri arasında önemli farklılık saptanmıştır.
