Abstract
It is very important for teachers to have behaviors which may interact with others and are acceptable in social aspect. These behaviors are generally termed as social skill. The aim of this research is to investigate the social skill levels of teacher candidates in the aspect of various variables. 222 4th grade students who are educating in license program of Primary Education Department Pre-School Education Teaching, Social Studies Education Teaching, Mathematics Education Teaching and Science Education Teaching in Buca Faculty of Education in University of Dokuz Eylül constitute the sample of this research. In this research, with a view to obtain information related to socio-demographic characteristics, Personal Data Form and Social Skill Inventory are used as data collection tools. Özet
Öğretmenlerin başkalarıyla etkileşim kurabilecek, sosyal açıdan kabul edilebilir olan davranışlara sahip olması oldukça önemlidir. Bu davranışlar, genel olarak sosyal beceri olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının sosyal beceri düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Buca Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Okulöncesi Eğitimi Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Öğretmenliği, Matematik Eğitimi Öğretmenliği ve Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Öğretmenliği lisans programlarına devam eden 222, 4. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğrencilere ait sosyo-demografik özelliklere ilişkin bilgi edinmek amacıyla Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile Sosyal Beceri Envanteri (Yüksel, 2004) veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, ölçeğin alt bölümleriyle bazı faktörler arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur.
