The sample of the study consists of 589 students which selected randomly from primary and high schools in Gaziantep and Eskişehir with university students in Gazi University. Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı ilköğretim 8. sınıf, lise ve üniversite öğrencilerinin mesleki ve eğitsel kararları üzerinde etkili olan faktörleri belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Gaziantep ve Ankara il merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim okullara devam eden öğrenciler ile Ankara'da Gazi Üniversitesine devam eden 589 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen Demografik Bilgi Formu ile Mesleki ve Eğitsel Karar Verme Anketi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilere ait demografik değişkenlere göre mesleki ve eğitsel karar verme sürecinde etkili olan faktörler açısından bir fark olup olmadığı t testi, kay-kare test ve tek yönlü varyans analizi tekniği kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde öğrencilerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun eğitsel ve mesleki kararlarını verdikleri, vermiş oldukları kararlara da güvendikleri bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin mesleki ve eğitsel kararlarında en etkili olan faktörler sırasıyla; babalar, anneler, kitap ve dergiler ile okullardaki öğretmenler olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin eğitsel ve mesleki kararlarını verirken başvurdukları kaynaklarda sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken, erkek öğrencilerin kararlarında arkadaşlarının daha etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir.
