Abstract

The tourism sector is highly sensitive to global developments and cannot remain indifferent to them. Technological advancements are among the most current developments in the global system, and the tourism sector is one of the fastest to adapt to these developments. Therefore, researchers are increasingly interested in this field, and studies on the relationship between tourism and technology are rapidly increasing. This study is a bibliometric analysis of studies related to the tourism-technology relationship published in the Web of Science (WoS) database over the last ten years. The study, which includes an analysis of 377 articles, examines research trends in terms of authors and citation distribution. This study is written with the aim of serving as a guide for researchers who will work on the tourism-technology relationship. The results indicate that the concepts of tourism and technology have been extensively studied in the literature, especially gaining momentum after the post-pandemic period.

Bu çalışma son on yıl içerisinde Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında bulunan, turizm-teknoloji ilişkisi içerisinde yapılan çalışmaların bibliyometrik bir analizidir.
