Abstract

Colors have a place in the cultures of societies apart from the act of seeing them as communication tools with high impact. Colors used in politics, which are also quite prevalent, have not been chosen arbitrarily; they have been selected based on the influence of communities' own cultures or similar cultures. The utilization of colors can vary from culture to culture and over time. However, when representing a political event, a concept, or a political ideology from any period in history, it becomes fixed there, remaining true to the ideology it represents and belonging to it.This study begins with the aim of finding evidence for the perception of colors in politics and will indicate the lasting presence of colors in political events within the memories of states and societies. Within this framework, the "White Revolution" that began in Iran in 1963 will be examined. The purpose of the study is to reveal a revolution carried out by the monarchy in Iran using the color white to achieve an ideal and to illustrate its political and societal implications. Document analysis has been employed as the data collection method in this study. As a result, it has been asserted that colors are used to create political myths, and such usage becomes ingrained in memories.
