Anksiyete tanımlanması zor bir endişe ve korku halidir. Preoperatif hastaların büyük bölümünde anksiyete ve stres mevcuttur. Oluşan bu durum da hem ameliyat öncesi hem sonrasında, istenmeyen etkilere neden olamakta, fizyolojik ve psikolojik patolojileri tetiklemektedir.
