Abstract

The aim of this study is to adapt the Developmental Assets Profile to Turkish in order to determine the developmental assets of high school students and to examine its psychometric properties. In the applications conducted within the scope of linguistic equivalence studies, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the Turkish form and the original form of the scale. The findings of the confirmatory factor analysis performed showed that the factor structure of the adapted scale confirmed the eight-dimensional structure in the original form, and the fit indexes obtained revealed that the model had moderately good fit values. Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficients calculated for reliability analysis were found to be quite high. Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficients calculated for reliability analysis were found to be quite high. For the test-retest analysis, high level correlation values were calculated between the scores obtained from the applications performed three weeks apart. The findings revealed that DAP is a valid and reliable measurement tool suitable for use in determining the developmental strengths of high school students.
