Abstract

The aim of this study is to systematically examine the 10 most cited classic studies and 50 empirical studies published in SSCI-indexed journals between 2020 and 2025 in order to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the relationship between teacher behaviors and student outcomes. The study was conducted as a systematic review based on document analysis. A total of 60 studies were analyzed within the themes of teacher support, autonomy support, teacher–student relationships, classroom management, and technological adaptation. The findings indicated that supportive and autonomy-supportive teacher behaviors have strong positive effects on student motivation, academic achievement, engagement, and socio-emotional development. In addition, cultural sensitivity, teacher professionalism, and AI-supported educational practices have emerged as increasingly important factors in contemporary educational settings. The study offers an original contribution by integrating classic and contemporary evidence and providing a comprehensive and up-to-date perspective on teacher behaviors.
