Abstract

Suppliers’ selection and establishment of sustainable relations with suppliers play an important role in gaining competitive advantage. The companies select the suppliers considering the criteria related with their own competition and purchase strategies. But this task is not easy. Because there are many qualitiative and quantitative criteria to be considered in supplier selection. At the same time there are many suppliers in the market. So this supplier selection problem is handled as Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem. In this study an integrated decision approach based on SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis) and WASPAS (Weighted Aggregated Sum Product ASsessment) methods are performed for solving supplier selection problem. The weights of the selection criteria are acquired from SWARA method whereas the best supplier alternative is determined with WASPAS method.
