When we examine the writings about Alevism and Bektashism, it is possible to collect in several main topics which are being discussed today, religion, religious lessons, cem houses, and so on. However, the nature, form, and intensity of the debate on these issues varies depending on the issue of defining the religious identity of Alevism and Bektashism. The aim of this study is to see that the problems of Alevism can not be taken independently of each other and that it should be evaluated holistically with its religious, legal, administrative and cultural dimensions.

Alevilik ve Bektaşilik ile ilgili yazılanları incelediğimizde günümüzde tartışılmakta olan meseleleri, diyanet ,din dersleri , cem evleri, vb. birkaç ana başlıkta toplamanın mümkün olduğu görülür. Ancak bu meselelerle ilgili tartışmanın mahiyeti, şekli ve yoğunluğu, Alevilik ve Bektaşiliğin dini kimliğinin tanımlanması meselesine bağlı olarak değişmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı da Alevilik ile ilgili sorunların birbirinden bağımsız olarak ele alınmasının imkanı olmadığını ,konunun dini, hukuki, idari ve kültürel boyutları ile bütüncül olarak değerlendirilmesi gerektiğini görmeyi sağlamaktır.
