Özet

Bu makale, Türkiye’nin Batı yöneliminin hangi parametreler çerçevesinde meşrulaştırıldığını inceleyerek ‘Batı’ yöneliminin değişmeyen doğrusal bir yönelim olmadığını, aksine zigzaglar halinde gelişen ve buna bağlı olarak farklı kimlikler oluşturan bir söylemler zinciri olduğunu savunmaktadır. Realist perspektiften bakıldığında, Türkiye’nin Kıbrıs konusunda AB’den ayrışan tutumu, Türkiye’nin AB yöneliminden bir uzaklaşma olarak görülebilse de, söylem teorisi çerçevesinden bakıldığında, söylemde dahi ayrı tutulmaya çalışan bu iki ‘dava’nın birbirine zıt değil, aslında aynı yönelimin uzantısı olduığuınu gözlem lemek mümkündür.
