Abstract

Wound healing is a complex and dynamic process that includes a sequence of cell migration..This sequence begins with removing of the debris and goes on with the controlling of infection, angiogenezis, the formation of granulation tissue, contraction and maturation. There has been a promote about wound healing process, and principle of new treatment and care on wound healing in the recent century. One of the impotrant progress that a new technique called VAC (Vacuum-Assisted Closure) which gets the wound area ready for healing, increases the rate of healing is method. Although VAC is a new technique for our country it has been used since 1997 in the western countries, It is very hopefull expecially for cronic and difficult wounds. In this treatment, negative pressure is being appllied to the wound with using suction. In this article, It has been known as a vacuum-assisted closure, negative-pressure therapy and the patients who take this therapy is nursing care importance has been underlined.
