Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Quality concept has been improved in a lot of areas in Turkey and it should be documented. METHODS: Also the clinical biochemistry laboratories should apply the quality needs named as the "laboratory services" by the Ministry of Health which are the part of service quality standard. RESULTS: It has been easier to apply the quality standards that are published by the government, in the hospitals which have quality certificate according to ISO 9001: 2008 standards.CONCLUSION: Similarly transition to accreditation of the biochemistry laboratories, especially the ones in the public hospitals which have quality certificate, will be easier with experienced personel, technical competence and permanent training.
