Abstract

Although exceedingly rare, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma is the most aggressive solid tumor known. Early studies on the effects of different therapies may be biased due to inclusion of thyroid lymphoma patients among responsive small cell anaplastic carcinoma cases. Ultimately, nearly all anaplastic thyroid carcinoma patients die from their disease which is widely metastatic. In this report, four cases of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma are being presented.

Özet

Anaplastik tiroid karsinomu oldukça seyrek görülmesine rağmen bilinen en agresif solid tümördür. Değişik tedavilerin prognoza etkileri üzerine yapılan çalışmalar çelişkilidir. Çünkü bu çalışmaların çoğunda tedavileri farklı olan tiroid lenfomaları da anaplastik karsinom gurubu içinde değerlendirilmiştir. Anaplastik tiroid karsinomlu hastaların hemen hepsi sıklıkla yaygın metastazlar nedeniyle ölmektedirler. Bu yayında 4 anaplastik tiroid karsinomlu olgu sunulmuştur.
