The objective of this study is to withdraw attention upon the universal gens of losers types created by Oguz Atay: The primary characteristics of losers in Turkish literature were determined and the relationships with the non – essential and minute human types were stressed out particularly from Russian Literature, afterwards. Bu makalede Oğuz Atay’ın yaratmış olduğu tutunamayanlar tipinin dünya edebiyatlarından aldığı evrensel genlere dikkat çekilmektedir: Önce Türk edebiyatında tutunamayanların öncülü olabilecek karakterler tespit edilmiş, ardından da özellikle Rus edebiyatındaki küçük insan ve gereksiz insan tipleriyle akrabalıkları önplana çıkartılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise, her edebi metinin edebiyatlararası etkileşimde hem ayrılığı hem de buluşmayı temsil eden bir kavşak olarak kabul edilmesi gerektiği değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır
