Abstract

The 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by the United Nations in September 2015 and put into effect on 1 January 2016, is a global development move committed by 193 countries. One of the countries that signed the aforementioned Agenda is Turkey, and national development plans and a road map have been determined in order to fulfill the requirements for sustainable development. In the 11th Development Plan, a specific title was included for sustainable development purposes and measures were determined regarding what should be done. One of them is the preparation of corporate strategic plans in line with sustainable development goals. Considering that performance programs and activity reports are prepared in line with strategic plans, it becomes clear that compliance with sustainable development goals should be observed in these documents as well. However, in practice, it is seen that the strategic plan, performance program and activity reports are not prepared in line with the sustainable development objectives and institutions are not directed in this regard.
