Abstract

Nonspecific orbital inflammation (NSOI), is a rare, idiopathic inflammatory disease of orbital tissue. It appears with variableclinical symptoms depending on the affected orbital structure and severity of inflammation. Diagnosis is usually made clinically by excludin g other possible causes. Oral corticosteroids are used as the first choice of treatment. Due to the variable clinic symptoms, there is not a common approach for the diagnostic criteria and treatment. In this paper, 5 patients who were diagnosed as NSOI were revised and these patients were discussed with clinic symptoms, imagi ng tests, pathology results and in the light of the literature.
