Abstract

Purpose: This study was planned to investigate the effects of short term dynamic stabilization training on flexibility, muscular endurance and dynamic balance in healthy young people. Method: The study included forty-two healthy subjects (Female n=22, male n=20; mean age 23.1±1.7 years). Participants were randomly assigned to a training group (N=22) or a control group (N=20). Flexibility, upper extremity endurance, trunk endurance, lower extremity endurance and dynamic balance was assessed using sit and reach test, modified push-up test, curl-up, side bridge and Biering Sorensen tests, chair-stand test and Y balance test, respectively. All assessments were performed at baseline and at the end of three weeks. Dynamic stabilization training, in which core muscles are activated and stabilization balls are used, lasted three weeks (3 sessions/week). No intervention was applied to the control group. Results: Significance were obtained in curl-up, Biering Sorensen and chair-stand tests, and left anterior, posterolateral and right anterior directions of Y balance test in dynamic stabilization training group (p0.05). When delta values of all tests are compared between groups; significant results were obtained in favor of dynamic stabilization training group in Biering Sorensen test and left anterior and posterolateral directions of Y balance test (p

Katılımcıların esnekliği otur-uzan, üst ekstremiteenduransı modifiye push-up, gövde enduransı mekik, lateral köprü ve Biering Sorensen, alt ekstremite enduransı otur kalk vedinamik dengesi Y denge testi kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Tüm değerlendirmeler başlangıçta ve 3. haftanın sonundauygulandı. Gövde stabilizatör kaslarının aktif hale getirilmesiyle birlikte stabilizasyon toplarının kullanıldığı dinamikstabilizasyon eğitimi, haftada 3 gün 3 hafta süresince yapıldı. Kontrol grubuna herhangi bir müdahale yapılmadı.Bulgular: Başlangıç ve 3. hafta sonundaki veriler incelendiğinde, dinamik stabilizasyon eğitim grubunda; mekik, BieringSorensen ve otur kalk testlerinde ve y denge testinin sağ anterior, sol anterior ve posterolateral uzanım yönlerinde iyileşmegörüldü (p0,05). Tüm testlerin delta değerleri gruplar arasındakarşılaştırıldığında; sadece Biering Sorensen testinde ve Y denge testi sol anterior ve posterolateral uzanım yönlerindedinamik stabilizasyon eğitim grubu lehine anlamlı sonuçlara ulaşıldı (p
