Abstract

Aim: The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between lateral radiological measurements and quality of life in children with adenoid hypertrophy. Material and Method: 22 children with adenoid hypertrophy were included in study. Survey obstructive sleep apnea 18 was used to assess the quality of life. Adenoid nasopharynx ratio was used to asses lateral radiological measurements. Results were analyzed statistically. Results: The mean value of obstructive sleep apnea 18 survey was 77.81(SD: 15.57) and the mean value of adenoid nasopharynx ratio was 0.70(SD:0.08). Spearmen correlation coefficient was calculated as 0.81. Discussion: The results of obstructive sleep apnea 18 and adenoid nasopharynx ratio was correlated.

Özet

Amaç: Çalışmamızda adenoid hipertrofisi olan çocuklarda lateral radyolojik ölçümler ile yaşam kalitesi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya 22 çocuk dahil edildi. Yaşam kalitesi değerlendirilmesinde obstruktif uyku apnesi 18 anketi kullanıldı. Lateral radyolojik ölçümlerin değerlendirilmesinde adenoid nazofarenks oranı kullanıldı. Elde edilen sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Obstruktif uyku apnesi 18 an-ket sonucu ortalama 77,81( SD: 15,57) bulundu. Adenoid nazofarenks oranı ortalama 0,70(SD:0,08) tespit edildi. Spearmen korrelasyon katsayısı 0,81olarak hesaplandı. Tartışma: Çalışma sonunda obstruktif uyku apnesi 18 anket sonuçları ve adenoid nazofarenks oranı ölçüm sonuçları uyumlu bulundu.
