Abstract

For Anatolian black pine, monthly replicated experiments during five months between November and March were designed to determine the water potential parameters in sampling seedlings , root regeneration potential and stress resistance value in seedlings planted in greenhouse, and bud-break ratio, survival and height increament at the end of the first vegetation period in the field. According to the results, it was shown that parameters about water potential, root regeneration potential and stress resistance were changed periodically. Those periodic changes had strong relationships with the rate of bud-break, survival and height increament successes which were determined for each months. As a synthese of these results, late autumn and winter termination - early spring were suggested as lifting-planting period for bareroot Anatolian black pine seedlings.
