Abstract

Introduction: Oral candidiosis is the most common fungal infection encountered in dentistry. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate adhesion of Candida albicans to soft-lining materials with different polymerization characteristics by use of a colorimetric method (XTT). Material and Method: In this study, GDH 2346 and a clinical root form of C. albicans were used for tested to adhesive capability of Candida albicans on viskogel, UfiGel and Molloplast-B soft-lining materials in RPMI 1640. The quantitatively measurement was provided by use of XXT/coenzyme Qo techinque. Result: Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon w tests were used for statistical analysis of data. The most adhesion was measured on the UfiGel, followed by Molloplast-B and then Viscogel (p
