Recent studies have demonstrated that smoking has an effect on serum immunoglobulin G (IgG) subclass concentrations. The aim of our study was to investigate the effect of smoking on both serum and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) IgG subclasses in 21 systemically healthy dental students. The plaque index (PI), gingival index (Gl), gingival recession and probing pocket depth (PPD) measurements were obtained from all subjects. Yakın zamanda yapılan çalışmalar sigara, içme alışkanlığının serum immünglobulin G (İgG) altgrupları konsantrasyonu üzerine etkisinin olduğunu ortaya koymuşlardır. Çalışmamızın amacı, sigara içme alışkanlığının serum ve dişeti oluğu sıvısı (DOS) İgG altgruplarının düzeylerine olan etkilerini, sistemik açıdan sağlıklı 21 dişhekimliği öğrencisinde araştırmakdı.
