Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of multi enzyme supplementation (protease, phytase, ?-glucanase, xylanase) and sex ratio on performance and egg characterizations in quails fed on corn-based diets. In this study, a total of 100 Japonesse quails (Coturnix Coturnix Japonica) of 58 days of age were used according to 2x2 factorial experimental design. It was constituted that 4 groups to two different diet (enzyme supplemented (1 g/kg diet) and no enzyme supplemented) and two different sex (male/female) ratio (1/3 and 1/5). Multi enzyme was not supplemented to group 1 (Control 1/3) and quails were placed as one male and three female to each cage. Multi enzyme was not supplemented to group 2 (Control 1/5) and quails were placed as one male and five female to each cage. Multi enzyme was supplemented to group 3 (Enzyme 1/3) and quails were placed as one male and three female to each cage. Multi enzyme was supplemented to group 4 (Enzyme 1/5) and quails were placed as one male and five female to each cage. Multi enzyme supplementation improved quail / day production (P
