Abstract

Hypoparathyroidism is a case most frequently seen after thyroid surgery. Non-surgical causes are very rare, and may either accompany autoimmune or infiltrative diseases or be seen as an isolated hypoparathyroidism case. In this study, we report the clinical features and treatment of a patient diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism, following the examination upon menometrorrhagia and extremity contractions, along with a review of the literature.

Özet

Hipoparatiroidizm, en sık tiroid cerrahisi sonrası görülen bir durumdur. Cerrahi dışı nedenler çok nadir olup, otoimmün ya da infiltratif hastalıklara eşlik edebilir veya tek bir hastalık olarak karşımıza çıkabilir. Bu çalışmada, menometroraji ve kasılma nedeniyle yapılan tetkik sonucunda hipoparatiroidi saptanan hastanın klinik özellikleri ve tedavisi, literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur.
