Abstract

Eosinophilic fasciitis (EF) is a rare inflammatorydisease of unknown etiology. The characteristicfeatures of this inflammatory disease includescleroderma-like skin indurations, predominantly on the extremities, and peripheral blood eosinophilia. It is usually seen in young males, rarely inelderly women and in children. In this paper, we present a 45-year-old femalepatient who presented with complaints of painand tightness of the skin in the upper extremities. She was diagnosed as EF with the characteristicclinical features and histopathological findingsand responded well to systemic steroid therapy.
