Abstract

COVID-19, which first appeared as a viral pneumonia in Wuhan province of China in December 2019, has affected and continues to affect millions of people worldwide. Although the clinical signs and symptoms of the disease mainly belong to the respiratory system, it has been observed that it may affect many organs and systems and may present with different clinical presentations. In this article, the clinical features of COVID-19 and the management of the disease are described in the light of current literature data.

Özet

İlk kez 2019 yılının Aralık ayında Çin’in Wuhan eyaletinde viral pnömoni olarak ortaya çıkan COVID-19, Dünya genelinde milyonlarca insanı etkilemiş ve etkilemeye devam etmektedir. Hastalığın klinik belirti ve bulguları ön planda solunum sistemine ait olsa da birçok organ ve sistemi etkileyebileceği ve farklı klinik prezentasyonlar ile de ortaya çıkabileceği görülmüştür. Bu makalede COVID-19’un klinik özellikleri ve hastalığın yönetimi güncel literatür verileri ışığında anlatılmıştır.
