Abstract

In this study it is aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the collagenized horse bone graft with PRP on the treatment of cavitary bone defects. Cavitary bone defects were created on the condyle of the femur. For one of the condyle, only collagenized horse bone graft was applied (first group n=16), and for the other condyle, one week later following application of collagenized horse bone graft, 0.5 cc PRP was also administered (second group n=16). At the end of the third and sixth week, the tomographic and histopathologic evaluations were performed on the defect areas. In the histopathologic evaluations, higher values were determined in the second group in the aspect of new bone formation, and these values were statically significant (P

Özet

Bu çalışmada; kollajenize at kemik greftinin PRP ile birlikte, kaviter kemik defektlerinin onarımında etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Kaviter kemik defektleri tavşan femur kondillerinde oluşturuldu. Femur kondillerinden birine, birinci grup (n=16), yanlızca kollajenize at kemik grefti, diğer ikinci gruba (n=16) kollajenize at kemik grefti ve bir hafta sonra kavite bölgesine 0.5 cc PRP uygulandı. Üçüncü ve altıncı hafta sonunda defekt bölgesinin tomografik ve histopatolojik incelenmesi yapılarak analiz edildi. Radyolojik incelemede defektin kaviter defekt olması nedeniyle belirgin bir radyolojik fark saptanmadı. Histopatolojik incelemelerde yeni kemik oluşumu açısından kollajenize at kemik grefti ve PRP uygulanan grupta yanlızca kollajenize at kemik grefti uygulanan gruptan daha yüksek değerler bulunmuştur ve bu değerlerin istatistiksel (P
