Abstract

People recognise each other with faces. For this reason, the ability to recognize and remember faces is very important for the social functioning of a person. These processes involve a network of interrelated brain regions including, occipital face area in inferior occipital gyrus, fusiform face area in fusiform gyrus and facial expression recognition area in superior temporal sulcus.
