Abstract
This study has been carried out in order to determine perceptions of roles men and women and work-family life conflict in terms of the effect of work life on family life and,the effect of family life on work life. A total of 300 women and men working in public sector were included in the research sample. According to the study; it has been determined that the heaviest burden of working individuals are the responsibilities of being parents and married couples. Related to effect of family life on work life; it has been found that respondents who have many children feel more severe the effect of family life on work life; on the other hand married individuals evaluate to the effect of working life on family life as more severe than single individuals.
Özet
Bu araştırma kamu sektöründe çalışan kadınlar ve erkeklerin rollerine ilişkin algıları ile iş yaşamının aile yaşamına etkisi ve aile yaşamının iş yaşamına etkisi açısından iş-aile yaşamı çatışmasını ortaya koymak amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Kamu sektöründe çalışan toplam 300 kadın ve erkek araştırma örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; çalışan bireylere ebeveyn ve eş olma sorumluluklarının ağır geldiği belirlenmiştir. Aile yaşamının iş yaşamına etkisi ile ilgili olarak; çok çocuk sahibi olanların aile yaşamının iş yaşamına etkisini daha ağır olarak hissettikleri; diğer yandan iş yaşamının aile yaşamına etkisini ise evli olanların bekâr olanlara göre daha ağır olarak değerlendirdikleri saptanmıştır.
