Abstract

Objective: In this study we aimed to determine the relation of presence and severity of coronary artery disease with microalbuminuria, fasting insulin levels and the classical risk factors in non-diabetic patients. Methods: We enrolled 100 non-diabetic patients that had an indication for coronary angiography. Group 1 consisted of 55 patients with coronary artery disease, and 45 patients without coronary artery disease were included in Group 2. The study was cross-sectional and case-controlled. In all patients 24 hour microalbuminuria, serum total, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and lipoprotein a, triglyceride, fasting blood sugar levels were obtained. Fasting insulin levels were determined and routine urinary tests were performed. Gensini scoring was done for determination of the severity of coronary artery disease. Statistical analysis was performed using unpaired t test, Mann-Whitney U test, Chi-square test, ROC analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: Microalbuminuria levels (p

Özet

Amaç: Çalışmamızda diyabetik olmayan hastalarda mikroalbüminüri (MA), açlık insülin düzeyi (AİD) ve klasik risk faktörleri ile koroner arter hastalığı (KAH) varlığı ve şiddeti arasındaki ilişkiyi saptamayı amaçladık.Yöntemler: Çalışmaya koroner anjiyografi endikasyonu olan, diyabetik olmayan 100 olgu alındı. KAH saptanan 55 olgu grup 1, saptanmayan 45 olgu ise grup 2’ye dahil edildi. Çalışma kros-seksiyonel ve vaka kontrollü idi. Tüm olgularda 24 saatlik idrarda MA, serum total kolesterol, yüksek dansiteli lipoprotein (HDL) kolesterol, düşük dansiteli lipoprotein (LDL) kolesterol, lipoprotein a, trigliserid, açlık kan şekeri, AİD tayinleri ve rutin idrar tetkiki bakıldı. Koroner arter hastalığının şiddeti Gensini skorlamasına göre belirlendi. İstastistiksel değerlendirme eşleştirilmemiş t-testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, Ki-kare testi, ROC ve çoklu lojistik regresyon analizleri kullanarak yapıldı. Bulgular: Grup 1’deki olgularda, grup 2’deki olgularla karşılaştırıldığında MA (p
