Abstract

Most of the water quality monitoring studies don't provide what expected for observation. For this reason, the results stay in dispute among researchers. Water quality monitoring studies are divided into three groups as simultaneous sampling plan, synoptic surveys and researching purpose which proceed on a definite stream or stream sections basis. Sequential sampling plan which is developed for quality observation in streams using stream bifurcation degree depended on topographic structure of stream has been applied. The necessary station number in case of simultaneous sampling with fixed station and sequential sampling plan was assessed together and so it is wanted to find out mixed plan that gives optimum station number.
