Abstract

Pervious concrete application is one of the sustainable stormwater facilities in cities. The purpose of this paper is to measure the permeability performance of the pervious concrete application on the bicycle and pedestrian paths of Peynircioğlu Stream Park in Mavişehir (İzmir), with a simple yet reliable infiltration test. In this study, in measuring the infiltration rate of pervious concrete surfaces, the Standard Test Method for Infiltration Rate of in Place Pervious Concrete (C1701/C1701M-09) report by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International) was used. The test was applied at six different locations. According to the tests carried out in the field, the infiltration speed of the pervious concrete surfaces in the research area varies between 524-3194 mm/h. The fastest infiltration occurred at the 3rd test point and the slowest at the 5th test point. As a result; although the values measured at test points 2 and 3 are quite close to the lower limit specified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI), none of the measured values are within the range of acceptable values according to the institute.
