Abstract

Aviation is public transport and entertainment activity whichcarried out by wide variety of vehicles and technologicalmechanisms. Underestimated extent of accidents can ocur inthis developing sector and industry every day. These accidentscan cause variety of situations from simple personal injuriesto mass disasters. Main targets of systematic forensic approachare identification of victims, to reach conclusion aboutthe causes and mechanisms of injuries, to contribute to theestimation of the cause of accident, determination of the personwho was controlling the aircraft at the time of accidentand to investigate about medical and toxicological conditionswhich will effect pilot's adequacy and flight performance. Inthis paper, it is aimed to attract attention to aviation accidentsand forensic science approach to these accidents.
