Abstract

Cornelia de Lange syndrome or Brachman de Lange Syndrome is genetic disorders which is been associated with severe developmental anomalies. It effect both physical and intellectual development. It is characterised with skeletal, head and face, gastrointestinal system and cardiac anomalies. The incidence varies between 1/10.000 to 1760000. The diagnosis of this syndrome is based on the characteristic phenotypic features. Especially the typical facial appearance, prenatal and postnatal growth retardation, various skeletal deformities, hyperthricosis and mental retardation are pathognomic features. Our patient which brought to fever complaint on three months old, had low birth weight, severe growth retardation, skeletal anomalies and characteristic facial appearance. In this report, we presented a patient with Cornelia de Lange syndrome who had a history of siblings death due to various skeletal abnormalities.
