Raynaud's syndrome, which is associated with a secondary etiolo-gy. Traditional treatment of primary Raynaud's phenomenon is cold avoidance and the use of vasodilators. Surgical management may prove useful in patients with severe and progressive Raynaud's disease. By this case, we report the usefulness of sertraline, which is specific serotonin reuptake inhibitor, in the treatment of a woman with Raynaud phenomenon.

Raynaud hastalığı veya primer Raynaud fenomeni, özellikle genç kadınlarda soğuğa yanıtta aşırı kutanöz vazokonstriksiyonla karakterlidir. Raynaud hastalığı, sekonder bir etyolojiyle birlikte bulunan Raynaud sendromundan ayrılmaktadır. Primer Raynaud fenomeninin geleneksel tedavisi soğuktan korunma ve vazodilatörlerin kullanımıdır. Cerrahi tedavi şiddetli ve ilerleyici Raynaud hastalıklı hastalarda yararlıdır. Bu olgu ile Raynaud fenomeni olan bir kadın hastanın tedavisinde seçici serotonin geri alım inhibitörü olan sertralin kullanımına yanıtını tartıştık.
