Abstract

Objective: We investigated the success of Doppler findings of the fetal median cerebral artery and umblical artery to estimate early neonatal outcomes. parameter of umblical artery was admitted as ''gold standart'' as it is most important objective criteria to evaluate if the fetus is asphyctic or not. Results: According to the delivery method, 59 (%58) of 101 cases were given spontaneous vaginal birth and the 42 (%41.6) of them were given by sectio. The mean age of the women who were included in this study was 27,82 ± 5,29; the mean parity was 1,09 ± 0,96 and the mean birthweight was 3340,40 ± 453 grams. The case group of which umblical cord blood pH was under 7.20 and admitted as fetal asphyxia was compared with normal group according to fetal Doppler parameters. There were no signficant difference between the umblical artery Doppler indexes which were assesed for each group. When the S/D, PI and RI values of umblical artery were compared p values were found as following respectively: 0,908, 0,860 ve 0,621. The fetal mean artery Doppler parameters were compared and the difference were not significant statistically. Conclusion: We determine that the fetal Doppler assessments by its own were not enough to differentiate the fetal asphyxia for the gravids in labor and it is better to be evaluated in addition to the routine assessments.

Bulgular: Do um ekline göre, çalı maya alınan 101 olgudan; 59 (%58,4) olgu spontan vajinal yolla, 42 (%41,6) olgu sezaryen operasyonu yapılarak gebelikleri sonlandırıldı. Fetal orta serebral arter Doppler parametreleri kıyaslandı. Her iki grup arasındaki fark istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı de ildi. Sonuç: Travaya girmi gebelerde fetal Doppler de erlendirmelerinin, fetal asfiksiyi ayırt edebilmede tek ba ına yeterli olamadı ını rutin de erlendirmelere ek olarak dü ünülmesinin daha uygun olaca ını saptadık.
