Abstract

Chronic otitis media is generally associated with hearing loss. In this study we aimed to evaluate the hearing levels and nature of hearing loss in chronic otitis media patients. Hearing levels of 268 chronic otitis media patients had been evaluated. We observed mixed type of hearing loss in 118 patients (32,3%), conductive hearing loss in 237 patients (64,9%) and sensorineural hearing loss in 10 patients (2,8%).

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, hastaların kronik otitis medyaya ba lı olan i itme kayıplarının karekterini ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalı mada Ocak 2010 - Mart 2012 tarihleri arasında kronik otitis media tanısı ile takip ve tedavi edilmi 268 hastanın i itme seviyeleri analiz edilerek i itme kayıpları ara tırılmı tır. Çalı maya ya ları 16-60 arasında de i en (ortalama 28.4), 162 kadın,106 erkek dahil edildi. Sonuç olarak çalı mada 118 (%32.3) kulakta mikst tip i itme kaybı, 237 (%64.9) kulakta iletim tipi i itme kaybı, 10 kulakta (%2,8) sönsörinöral i itme kaybı saptandı. itme kayıplarının % 32.1'i hafif, % 41.2'si orta, % 26.6'sı ileri derecedeydi.
