Abstract

Objective: This research was carried out to determine, burden care and depression for caregivers of chronic obstructive pulmonary patients (COPD). Materials and Methods: The subjects were caregivers of COPD patients who Kars Goverment Hospital between December 2013-March 2014 was carried out with 118 patients. Research data Personal Information Form, the Zarit Burden Scale, Beck Depression Inventory were collected using. Results: The caregivers' gender, education, maintenance time, caring health prior perception and maintenance burden and Depression Scale mean scores compared statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) was determined. Conclusion: Caregivers burden also increased with increasing levels of depression were identified.

Özet

Amaç: Bu araştırma, KOAH hastalarına bakım veren bireylerin bakım yükü ve depresyon düzeylerini belirlemek için yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma, Kars Devlet Hastanesi Yatarak Tedavi gören hastalara Aralık 2013 -Mart 2014 tarihleri arasında 118 hasta ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Zarit Bakım Verme Yükü Ölçeği, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Bulgular: Bakım verenlerin cinsiyeti, eğitim durumu, bakım süresi, bakım vermeden önceki sağlık algısı ile Bakım yükü ve Depresyon Ölçek puan ortalamaları karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu (p < 0.05) belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bakım verme yükü arttıkça depresyon düzeyinin de arttığı saptanmıştır
