Abstract
A 64 years old female had diagnostic colonoscopy for an abdominal pain of one year. Her thorax and abdominal computed tomography scans for shortness of breath and subcutaneous emphysema showed pneumothorax, pneumomediastineum and pneumoperitoneum and patient was referred to our emergency unit. Chest x-ray (CXR) showed a left side pneumothorax, breathing sounds of left lung was nonexistent in auscultation and there was subcutaneous emphysema in physical examination. Tube thoracostomy from 5. intercostal space midclavicular line and waterseal suction drainage was applied. Patient had no extra clinical problems and discharged from the hospital. We just wanted to remind a rare complication.

64 yaşında bayan hastanın yaklaşık bir yıldır devam eden karın ağrısı sebebiyle genel cerrahi merkezinde tanısal kolonoskopi uygulanmış. Sonrasında nefes darlığı ve yaygın ilerleyen cilt altı amfizemi gelişmesi üzerine toraks ve batın tomografisi çektirilen hastada sol pnömotoraks, pnömomediastinum, yaygın cilt altı amfizemi ve pnömoperitoneum saptanması üzerine acil servisimize sevk edilmiş. Hastanın PA akciğer grafisinde sol pnömotoraks ve fizik muayenesinde yaygın cilt altı amfizemi saptandı, sol hemitoraksta solunum sesleri alınamıyordu. 5. interkostal aralıktan tüp torakostomi ve kapalı sualtı drenajı uygulandı. Sonrasında ek bir problemi gelişmeyen hasta taburcu edildi. Nadir de olsa karşılaşabileceğimiz bu komplikasyonu hatırlatmak istedik.
