Abstract

In this study, the ram ejaculates were frozen in liqued nitrogen vapour after extended with Tris and Hepes diluents that its including taurin. Frozen ram semen and native semen were compared in regarding pregnancy and parturition rates in ewes (three group each has 20 animals) which were inseminated by intrauterine laparoscopic technique. In the inseminated sheep with frozen Tris, Hepes extenders and native semen, pregnancy and parturition rates were determined 50, 50, 55 and 45, 50, 55 % respectively. As a result; no significant differences were determined statistically between pregnancy and parturition rates in sheep which were inseminated with Tris, Hepes extenders and native semen.
