Abstract

Dog bites to the external genitelia are a rare but severe cause of genital trauma. We present 1 case of penile dog bite and review associated literature. Management involves irrigation, debridement, antibiotic prophylaxis and tetanus and rabies immunization. And also primary wound closure or surgical reconstruction. Good functional and cosmetic results are possible in the majority of cases.

Özet

Eksternal genitalya köpek ısırıkları ender olmasına karşın ciddi genital yaralanmalara neden olur. 1 olguluk penil köpek ısırığı sunulup ilgili yayınlar gözden geçirildi. Tedavi irrigasyon, debridman, antibiyotik profilaksisi, tetanoz ve kuduz immunizasyonundan oluşur. Ayrıca gereken durumlarda yara kapanması ve cerrahi rekonstrüksiyon yapılır. Olguların çoğunda iyi işlevsel ve kozmetik sonuçlara ulaşılır.
