Abstract

In this study, it was carried out with the aim of determining the pomological and biochemical properties of Hayward, Bruno, Greenlight, Monty and Topstar kiwi varieties, which are cultivated intensively in our country, in different development periods. Physical and biochemical properties of fruit samples were examined in two different periods (1. period: one month before harvest maturity and 2. period: harvest maturity). Hayward has the highest value in terms of fruit weight (92.26 g), fruit width(49.11 mm) and fruit size (68.60 mm). When the values of the samples collected in the 2nd period are examined; the highest fruit weight (97.73 g) and width (50.23 mm) was the highest type of Hayward, while the highest fruit size was Monty (69.71 mm). In the study, the SÇKM, fruit meat hardness and fruit color are the other fruit characteristics examined. In the study, when the organic acid content of the varieties is examined, the content of oxalic acid 1. period 2.206 mg 100g-1(Bruno) -1.34mg 100g-1(Greenlight) and 2. period 1.57mg 100g-1(Bruno)-1.22mg 100g-1(Topstar), the amount of citric acid 1.period was found between 1555.90mg 100g-1(Monty)-1030.87mg 100g-1(Topstar) and 2. period 1549.50mg 100g-1(Monty)-1007.02 mg 100g-1(Topstar).In addition, organic acids, malic acid, succinic acid, fumaric acid, ascorbic acid contents were also examined
