Abstract
The aim of this research is finding out the correlation between the effects of the primary school 8th graders parents attitude towards psychomotor skills levels. Research group is consisted of 113 female (49,3%) and 116 male (50,7%) totally 229 student, at 7 different schools in 8th grade in Aksaray. When defining parents attitudes, PSS ( ie. Parenting Styles Scale) , developed by (Sumer and Gungor 1999) and finalized by the additional items(28). In order to define the psychomotor skills of the students, the following tests are applied: For flexibility sit- reach test, vertical jumping test, agility (Z) test, 20 mt speed test and reaction test (visual- auditory). Correlation analysis is used to determine the relationship between parents attitudes and psychomotor skill levels and regression analysis is used to determine the correlation levels according to the data of parents attitudes and psychomotor skill levels and reliability analysis is used for the scale. As the result of the study, its seen that the parents attitudes cannot predict the psychomotor skills except reaction times and the authoritarian mothers have negative effects on reaction time.

Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin anne-baba tutumlarının, psikomotor beceri düzeylerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma gurubunu, 2011-2012 eğitimöğretim yılında Aksaray İlinde bulunan 7 ilköğretim okulunda 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören, 113 kız (%49.3), 116 erkek (%50.7) olmak üzere toplam 229 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Anne baba tutumlarının belirlenmesinde, (Sümer ve Güngör'ün 1999) geliştirdiği (28) ve ek maddelerle son biçimini almış olan ABSÖ (Anne Baba Stilleri Ölçeği)den yararlanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin psikomotor beceri düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla; esneklik için otur eriş testi, dikey sıçrama testi, çabukluk (Z) testi, 20 m hız testi ve reaksiyon (görsel ve işitsel) testi uygulanmıştır. İstatiksel analizlerde, uygulanan anne baba stilleri ölçeğinde elde edilen verilerle psikomotor beceri düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki ve ilişkinin düzeyinin tespiti amacıyla, korelasyon, çoklu regresyon analizi ve tutum ölçeğinin gurup içi güvenirlik analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, anne baba tutumlarının reaksiyon zamanı dışında, diğer psikomotor beceri düzeylerini beklenen seviyede yordamadığı, otoriter annelerin reaksiyon zamanı üzerinde negatif etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
