Abstract

A 14- year-old girl who had a sudden loss of vision in her left eye was examined. Ophthalmoscopic and fluorescein angiographic examination disclosed occlussion of cilioretinal arteries in her left eye Results of medical work-up for cause revealed that she had multiple sclerosis. To our knowledge, it is the first case that multiple sclerosis causes arterial occlusion within the eye.
