Abstract

The most common ocular malignancies are metastatic tumors. The most commonly affected site is choroid for metastasis. The lung is the most frequent primary site in men, and the breast in women. The diagnosis of metastatic ocular malignancies is crucial since they indicate poor prognosis. This paper reports a 48-year-old woman with pulmonary adenocarcinoma presented with blurred vision and a choroidal mass in the left eye, In addition to the case report, treatment choices of choroidal metastaic tumors are discussed.

Özet

Gözün en sık rastlanan kanser sebebi metastatik tümörlerdir. Bunların da en büyük kısmını koroidin metastatik tümörleri oluşturur. Oküler metastazlardan, kadınlarda meme erkeklerde ise akciğer kanserleri sıklıkla sorumludur. Göz metastazı saptanması primer tümörün prognozunun kötü olduğunu göstermesi açısından önemlidir. Akciğer adenokarsinomu tanısı almış, sol gözünde üç haftadır devam eden görme azlığı şikayetiyle gelen ve sol gözünde koroidal metastatik tümör saptanan 48 yaşındaki olgu sunulmuş ve bu bağlamda koroidal metastazlara yönelik tedavi seçenekleri tartışılmıştır.
