Abstract

DIDMOAD Syndrome (Wolfram Syndrome) is presented with diabetes insipidus, diabetes mellitus, optic atrophy, and deaf- ness at childhood. We evaluated the anatomic and functional responses after bilateral intravitreal injection of bevacizumab for a pediatric patient with DIDMOAD Syndrome and proliferative diabetic retinopathy at follow-up in our clinic. Espe- cially, in the patients with vitreous hemorrhage and/or child cases which panretinal laser photocoagulation can not be com- pleted or performed, intravitreal bevacizumab injection can be performed as an effective and safe treatment.

Özet

DIDMOAD Sendromu (Wolfram Sendromu) çocukluk çağında diabetes insipidus, diabetes mellitus, optik atrofi ve sağırlık şeklinde görülür. Kliniğimizde takip edilen DIDMOAD Sendromlu, proliferatif diyabetik retinopatisi bulunan çocuk has- tanın, her iki gözüne uygulanan intravitreal bevacizumab enjeksiyonu sonrası elde edilen anatomik ve fonksiyonel yanıtı değerlendirdik.
