Abstract

n order to overcome the risky situations that the police may encounter in the course of their duty, it is crucial that they be physically, physiologically, and psychologically healthy for the peace and safety of society. The General Directorate of Security relies on the Required Health Regulations of the Security Organization (RHRSO) while checking the health condition of its personnel. The aim of this article is to observe whether or not the police staff and students have a healthy height and weight relationship as prescribed in the RHRSO and to explain how the health regulations concerning one’s height and weight are devised including making suggestions for the improvement and modification of the items regarding one’s height and weight in the relevant regulation. In order to surmount the high risks of the mission, gain the support of society, and ameliorate its social image, the Security Organization deems it absolutely necessary that all measures be taken so that its personnel can be least affected by the global health problem namely obesity. The current items of the Required Health Regulations of the Security Organization are not sufficient for the checking and accurate evaluation of one’s height and weight. This is why the Required Health Regulations of the Security Organization should be changed without delay through the opinions and suggestions of the relevant academic personnel that are experts on this subject.
