Abstract

Macular hole formation after intravitreal injection is one of the rare complications. There may be various mechanisms that may be responsible for macular hole formation. Although the primary treatment option is pars plana vitrectomy; cases with spontaneous closure in the literature have also been reported. In this study, we aimed to present a case who had persistent vitreomacular traction induced macular hole following intravitreal ranibizumab injection due to exudative age-related macular degeneration and underwent pars plana vitrectomy

Özet

İntravitreal enjeksiyon sonrası maküler delik oluşumu nadir komplikasyonlardan birisidir. Maküler delik oluşumundan sorumlu olabilecek çeşitli mekanizmalar olabilir. Primer tedavi seçeneği pars plana vitrektomi olmasına rağmen; literatürde spontan kapanma olan olgular da bildirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada eksüdatif yaşa bağlı maküla dejenerasyonu sebebiyle yapılan intravitreal ranibizumab enjeksiyonunu takiben persistan vitreomaküler traksiyona bağlı maküler hole gelişen ve pars plana vitrektomi yapılan olguyu sunmayı amaçladık.
