Abstract

We report a case of periductal sarcoma of the breast in 52 years old women. She has presented with 11 cm mass in her left breast. Breast magnetic rezonans imaging revealed a philloides tumor of the breast. She underwent an incisional biopsy. Histopathologic studies showed periductal stromal sarcoma of the breast. Left modified radical mastectomy and axillary dissection were performed. Ninteenth lymph node were negative. Adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy are not used. Recurrence and metastasis has not been detected at 20 months after surgery.

On büyük büyütme sahasında beş adet mitoz görüldü. Olgu periduktal sarkom tanısı alması üzerine hastaya sol modifiye radikal mastektomi yapıldı. Aksilladan çıkarılan 19 lenf nodu reaktif özelliklerdeydi. Tümör hücrelerinde östrojen, progesteron reseptörleri negatifti. Hastaya postoperatif kemoteropi ve radyoterapi verilmedi. Operasyondan sonraki yirmi haftalık takipte rekürrens ve metastaz saptanmadı.
