Abstract

Masonry stone walls which was created to form stone, as a traditional building material, with mortar, metal clip, or lock the stone each other, are building component with high compressive strength. In study, yearly temperature, water and moisture values are calculated in section of masonry stone wall in traditional buildings according to soft humid climate of Edirne weather conditions with the help of WUFI®2D-3simulation program. Total temperature value of section on stone wall basing on hygrothermal performance of the wall shows that the temperature decreases to 6,4?C in Dec., while it is increasing to 28?C in July and Aug. Moisture values in total section increases to 79% in Jan., Feb. and Mar. but lowest relative humidity value is 68,5% in Aug. In moisture condition of the investigated stone wall section, there is not any risk in terms of condensation.
